The Event
On Wednesday 17th April 2024 wear your tightest and brightest retro 80s ski gear and come party at the annual World Monoski Championships*. There will be a big barbecue, DJs and music, banging prizes and loads of hot competition on the race course!

NOTE: Places to race are limited, so it's first come gets the chance!

Our top 4 boys and girls will fight it out to win King and Queen of the Monoski trophies for 2024, plus all of the fame and glory.

The Team Warm Up
Together we'll all warm up 80s style. There'll be deep lunches, thrusting and squats aplenty, lead by veteran monoskiers and past champions.

Monoskiing is thirsty work, so we'll head for aprés at La Rosée Blanche
Event ticket holders will get a free shot with their first drink purchase.

Racing Begins
1... 2...3... Monoski!
Boys vs boys, girls vs girls knock out rounds will be run down the dual slalom course, until we have our finalists!
Spot prizes and raffle prizes will be given out throughout the day.

The Prize Giving
The all important prizes will be presented at Blue Note, as well as the final raffle draw. There are incredible prizes from Planks for Men's and Women's winners, and the all important 'Spirit of the Monoski' winner.
Blue Note is giving a free drink to all ticket holders during the presentation.

* Ok so it might sounds insane, but this is actually the official World Championship for monoskiing, it didn't exist so we registered it, and now it's our right to get drunk and crown world champions while wearing our parents ski gear
Outfit Inspiration
Monoskiing's mystic heyday was in the 80s, so honour the tradition wear your tightest and brightest retro ski gear. Raid your parents wardrobes, go digging in charity shops... We want our eyes to be bleeding from all the colour pop!

The DJs and barbecue will be held at the park hut. Get yourself a spot here for the best view of the carnage on the course!

The prize giving will be held at our favourite bar at 7pm.
Huge prizes from Planks Clothing for Men's and Women's podium places and Spirit of the Monoski Trophy!
All ticket holders will get a free glass of punch on arrival.
On Wednesday 17th April '24 wear your tightest and brightest retro 80s ski gear and come throw yourself down the race course on a monoski. You don’t have to have ever tried monoskiing before - this competition is more about the thrills and spills than technique! Vintage Monoskis will be provided thanks to Snowberry, and there'll be friends around to adjust them to fit you.
There will be a barbecue, DJs and music, spot prizes, raffle prizes and seriously hot competition all day long in the Val d'Isère Snowpark from 11am. It will be one hell of a party!
The competition will happen in side-by-side knock out rounds - the first person down the course will progress to the next heat until we can crown a King and Queen of the Monoski. On any given Wednesday anything can happen…..
There are prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places for men’s and women’s categories, and for the highly coveted ‘Spirit of the Monoski’ award, given to the person or group who embodies the 80s style and vibe the best and brings the energy all day - this year it could be you!

You don't have to compete though if you've bought a ticket, and likewise you can come and watch all the thrills and spills without a ticket.

Please bring exact cash with you when buying your ticket, no card payments are possible
We'll ask you for some details when you sign up too, such as your phone number and where you work
What to Bring on the Day:
- Your event ticket
- Your lift pass
- Sunscreen, Water, Sunglasses etc
- Drinks that you want (Please no glass on the mountain)
- Your Monoskiing spirit
- Your competitive streak
* All rubbish needs to be taken with you and skied off the
mountain after the event
Don't forget to bring your LIFT PASS on the day!
* You can race on your own monoski, but it must be a vintage monoski and not parabolic. Monoskis will be provided courtesy of Snowberry

All monoskis will be collected from La Rosée Blanche at the end of the day by our team.
